​Ideas for a more enthusiastic workplace

Smile when you see someone for the first time each day. It is easy to smile and it helps to make them happy. 

Take time to ask people questions and then actually listen to them. When you express a genuine interest in other people, it makes them feel important.

Always be polite, courteous, and respectful when you talk with your team. Treat them as if they are talented and they will become so.

Learn to say thank-you for everything anyone does. Notice the small things like attending a meeting on time, completing a job or supplying a piece of information.

Work hard to keep people fully informed about the organisation and their role by embracing a genuine open door policy. 

Encourage people to come up with ideas to do their jobs better or to improve the organisation. People often notice improvements that you did not see.

Treat your team with respect because they have chosen to work for you and the organisation.

Imagine your team member as one your most valuable customers and treat them accordingly.

Compliment people on everything and anything, not just their work output. Make sure it is genuine and real.
